Last Saturday the 24th annual Goodwill Gymnastics Meet was held with over 230 gymnasts 4 overseas and a number of local clubs/teams participating. This event is the premier event each year for our ISM Gymnastics Team. A big thanks to all our Gymnastics parent volunteers who helped make this day a great event for our school and all the competitors. Also well done to the ISM coaches led by Coach Ramon and Coach Jas for their hard work preparing the gymnasts to compete. Full results will be available later this week on the ATAC blog gymnastics page!
Good luck to all our IASAS teams who will travel to TAS (softball), ISKL (Golf), Jakarta (Badminton) after the break. Whilst we are hosting IASAS Track and Field at ISM our other teams will be battling for Gold medals at their season ending championships. We wish them all the very best. Keep in touch with all the action via www.iasas.asia ISM will be live streaming IASAS Track and you can access the live stream link via the www.iasas.asia site.

Sailfish Head Coach Appointment:
We are pleased to announce that ES PE teacher/varsity swim coach Miss Holly Chapman has been appointed as Head Sailfish Coach for next year to replace Coach Andy. Coach Chapman has already started working with Coach Andy and has the added bonus of being able to mentor with him over the next 2 months to ensure a smooth transition for next year. She will attend the Gold Coast Australia swim coaches conference in May to further her coaching credentials, she has her Australian Swim coaches competitive strokes qualification, was a junior county swimmer in the UK and has coached swimming in her previous employment prior to arriving at ISM.
Coach Andy has done a wonderful job with our Sailfish program since his arrival 5 years ago, his enthusiasm and drive will certainly be missed. He has developed a strong program, doubled the numbers of squad swimmers, brought together a committed parent support group and established clear guidelines and operating systems for swimmers, parents and coaches and more importantly he has provided excellent coaching to our sailfish swimmers. We wish Andy and his family the very best for their move to Europe this summer.
Please remember the swimming facility will close for renovation works May 17 and the planned reopening of the pool is set for September 1st. We are building a new 2 level grandstand, new locker rooms, new storage area, new coaches locker rooms, additional restrooms for the public and resurfacing the pool surrounds.
ISM Summer Sports Camps information will be coming out after the break. Announcements will be placed in the parent bulletins and all information will be available on the summer camps page on the ATAC blog. Stay tuned for more information!
