Hi, I am in my 11th year as Director of Athletics/Activities at ISM. My wife is the MS Asst Principal at ISM and I have 2 children one who graduated class of '18 and the other who will be in gr. 12 in SY 18-19. I have been a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director for all of my teaching career. Prior to arriving at ISM in 2007 I worked in Australia for 5 years, before that at Osaka International School in Japan for 8 years and prior to that I traveled and worked as ski instructor in Japan/Canada and New Zealand. ISM is a fantastic school to work at and to be a part of. Go Bearcats!

Friday Nov 16- Exhibition game 3:20 pm ISM MS inter squad match (2x 12 min)

8:30am to 9:45AM IASAS rugby skill sharing stations/pd for coaches/players run by IASAS Rugby coaches followed by 30 min break before resuming play at 10:15am..

ISM Climbing Team joined Young Wild and Free climbing series that concluded last Saturday Nov. 10 at ROX.
With competitors from all over Manila with some coming all the way from Cebu and Iloilo, our climbers pushed themselves up the challenging walls of ROX.

Please note the practice times for ATAC programs for SY 18-19 are as follows:
  • All year round team team training sessions are – 3:15-4:30. See schedule for our All year round teams program here
  • See Sailfish blog for swim squad start and finish times after the tryouts period has concluded and squads have been finalised.
  • Gymnastics team training is  3:10-4:50pm every M,W,F
All HS seasonal teams practice from 3:05- 4:50pm.
MS seasonal teams practice 3:15-4:45pm.
In order to clear the campus prior to 5pm all after school programs will conclude by 4:50pm or earlier. The last bus is 4:55pm  this is due to the ever increasing traffic concerns in our area.

HELP NEEDED PLEASE…Rugby housing update- 20 beds still needed for this weekends Rugby exchange. Please see below for online sign up link if you can host a pair of rugby boys Nov 16/17.

ISM hosts the HS Rugby exchange Nov 16-18 and we need beds for 80 rugby boys for two nights.  All ISM HS rugby boys are expected to be able to house to support this event.
We are also hosting IASAS swimming at the end of January. Online housing form is also available on the ATAC blog.
S2 exchanges are coming up Nov 16-18 weekend. ATAC office will be sending out online medical and permission forms to parents for completion if your child makes the exchange travel teams for swimming/tennis/basketball and touch.  Passports will need to be submitted by Nov 6th at the latest to Joan at Athletics office for these trips.

HS S1 sports awards are this Wednesday November 7th from 5:30pm at  the Fine Arts Theatre. All S1 athletes and parents are invited. 5:30pm light cocktail food/iced tea at FAT lobby, 6-6:50pm MVP awards in FAT, 6:55-7:30pm Team break out final meetings and other awards distributed.

Well done to Aspirants soccer who placed runner up in plate final in local league play last Saturday  and also to MS A1 soccer boys whoi won the plate final here at ISM.

Week 11 Oct 15-19, 2018

This week is IASAS week. Congratulations to all players selected to represent ISM in Singapore for Soccer and Kuala Lumpur for Volleyball/XCountry. IASAS send off lunch and assembly will be Mon Oct 15th at the LT at lunchtime and at Fine Arts Theatre at 2:30pm for the assembly. We wish all our Bearcats the best of luck at IASAS and I am sure they will represent our school with great dedication and pride. Well done to VBoys Volleyball who placed 3rd in local league last Saturday with a confidence building win over CSA. MS A1 and Aspirants soccer teams  also won on Saturday to now go into ‘plate’ division finals this coming Saturday.
