Hi, I am in my 6th year as Director of Athletics/Activities at ISM. My wife is the Elementary PE Program leader at ISM and I have 2 children who go to ISM, Georgina in Grade 8 and Alex in Grade 6. I have been a Physical Education teacher and Athletic Director for almost all of my teaching career. Prior to arriving at ISM in 2007 I worked in Australia for 5 years, before that at Osaka International School in Japan for 8 years and prior to that I traveled and worked as ski instructor in Japan/Canada and New Zealand. ISM is a fantastic school to work at and to be a part of. Go Bearcats!

Week 25 Feb 19-23, 2018

Our S2 sports awards was held at the FAT last week on Tuesday evening and was a great event to celebrate a wonderful S2 of athletics on the domestic front and for our outstanding results at IASAS.
The new format for this year will be used for all HS sports awards evenings and involves….5:30-6pm Light snacks at FAT foyer/balcony, 6-7pm main awards/MVP presentations, 7-7:45pm team break out with athletes and parents for other awards and coaches speeches.
Good luck to our Gymnasts who travel to Singapore this coming weekend at the UWC meet. We also have  some gymnasts who will compete at the Philippine Cup meet here in Manila at Rizal Stadium on Sunday. Best wishes to all our gymnasts for the competitions here and overseas.
ISM is hosting in season 3 IASAS Track&Field and Golf April 12-14.
Housing for IASAS T&F and Golf in April is available via the links above and on the home page of the ATAC blog. Please sign up to support these final IASAS sports events of the year. We need housing for 150 track athletes from Wed Apr 11 until Sun morning Apr 15 and for Golf we need beds for 60 golfers for one night only Apr 14.

All HS seasonal teams practice from 3:05- 4:50pm.
MS seasonal teams practice 3:15-4:40pm.
In order to clear the campus prior to 5pm all after school programs will conclude by 4:50pm or earlier. The last bus is 4:55pm  this is due to the ever increasing traffic concerns in our area.

Week 24 Feb 12-15, 2018

Well done to our wall climbing team who competed in Hong Kong this past weekend and to our Aikido team members who participated in the ISM Aikido seminar.

Hong Kong Bouldering Championships 2018 was held last weekend at the Piazza in Kowloon Park. Five competitors from ISM joined this annual event together with 188 climbers from the Philippines, Macau, Thailand and Hong Kong. Our climbers did very well despite the cold weather and being in their first international competition. Gabie Ong on her 2nd international competition made it into the final round. Congratulations! Gabie O 6th Place Girls Juniors, Patrick P 7th Place Boys Juniors, Avery K 8th Place Girls Juniors, Li Ling W 9th Place Girls Juniors, Ananda A 9th Place Girls Youth. Thank you to all climbers and parents- Jeremy Flores, ISM Climbing Coach.

IASAS week has come and gone and what a fantastic week it was for our Bearcats. All teams acquitted themselves very well and at the end of the 3 days our Bearcats returned with medals in all sports. Congratulations to all teams and coaches on a wonderful S2 IASAS. Results- Girls Touch Gold, Boys and Girls Tennis Gold, Boys Basketball, Rugby and Girls swimming Silver, Girls Basketball Bronze and Boys Swimming 5th place. IASAS Week 22, Jan 29-Feb 2, 2018

IASAS week is here! ISM hosts Tennis Feb 1-3 and then in season 3 we host IASAS Track&Field/Golf April 12-14. I am pleased to say all the housing for tennis is now complete, thanks to all who have agreed to house and information letters have been sent out via email this week with guest/tournament information. Thank you in advance to all out host families your support is essential for our student athletes to have a wonderful IASAS experience.

A big weekend for ISM teams with some great results. Well done to all our athletes and hardworking coaches.
u/13 and u/15 boys rugby won local league finals out at Faith and the u/17 boys placed 2nd.
Varsity and JV boys both won the Faith Hardeman tournament on Saturday and our Varsity girls and JV girls placed 2nd.
Congrats to our  ISM  IASAS chess team who took the Gold medal for the first time at the IASAS online chess exchange on Saturday.
MS Boys/Girls basketball are both in the championship finals to be played this coming week exact times and venues are still to be decided.

Congratulations to…MS Girls Touch team who finished runner up in Div 2 of the local league and to Varsity Girls Touch and Varsity Boys Rugby who both won their local league season ending tournaments on Saturday.  Well done to all players and coaches.
